What Fines And/Or Penalties Will a Boater Caught Operating While Under The Influence Face On South Carolina’s Waters?

On a first conviction boaters who are under the influence will be subject to a fine of $200 and up to a 30 day prison sentence.

• A second conviction can result in a fine up to $5,000 and up to 12 months in prison.
• A third conviction can result in a fine up to $6,000 and up to 3 years in prison.
