Is There a Minimum Age For PWC Operators In West Virginia?

Yes, PWC operators are required to be at least 12 years of age in the state of West Virginia. In order for a person 12-14 years of age to operate a PWC they must:

• Complete a Boating Safety Education Course
• Be supervised by an adult who is 18 years of age or older
• Be operating a PWC powered by a motor or 10hp or less
