Is a New York Boater Education Certificate The Same Thing As a Boating License Or New York Adventure License?

Yes, the BOATsmart! New York Boater Education Card is commonly referred to as a ‘Boating License’.

Your Boater Education Certification can also be identified on your NY State Adventure License (with the addition of an anchor icon) issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Visit the NY License Center Website for more information about this form of certification I.D.
