The following boaters are required to WEAR life jackets in Oregon:
- •Children under 12 years of age on board boats that are underway or being towed.
- •PWC passengers (Type I, II or III life jackets only – inflatables are not permitted for PWCs).
- •Passengers being towed by a boat or PWC (inflatable life jackets are not permitted for towed sport participants).
- •Passengers on sections of white water that are rated Class III or higher.
