Do I Need a Virginia Boating License If I Rent Or Lease A Boat In Virginia?

If you rent or lease a boat in Virginia, you’ll be required to participate in the training program offered by the boat or PWC (jet-ski) rental business. The rental business will provide you with the documentation you need to comply with Virginia’s Boater Education requirements.
